This year the miraculous Vespa, the Piaggio masterpiece, celebrates its 70th birthday and is now part of the permanent collection at MoMa in New York. Since 1946 it has been a constant iconic presence in Italy, keeping pace with the changes of the country. The Vespa is a symbol of Italy’s emergence from the Second World War.
